I've Just Collected Cleo

She's now upstairs in the box room with food, beds, litter...after having a nice cuddle session. She's rubbed herself on everything...so she's going to know where she is.
I'll leave her there for a bit...

Hopefully she will give tubby some confidence too. I know it seems a long time, but having just read your last posts, he is obviously making progress. It just may not be as fast as you'd like :-). But he will get there.
Apologies... as this is a dog, not a cat, but as an example...
I have had my most recent rescue dog (3 years old) for 6 months now. And only in the last week, has she really learnt how to play with other dogs. Every single day now, she had a great wrestling game with my cocker, who is also very playful. I don't know whether it has taken this long for her to get confident, or whether she has watched and worked it out. But they are having a great time. Patience.... :-) xx

Oh...love the comments...especially Sqad. Good memory ;)
Hopefully I'll get a picture of her soon.
I also had a Cleo before...a stroppy tortie that was gone too young.
Pixie...when I got Sally she was already 2 years old, but hadn't a clue what toys were all about, never mind playing with other dogs.
Now that I've got 2 cats, I'm on my way to crazy cat lady status.

It will be good to gave another crazy cat person in our midst. My sister describes us that way. We have five at the moment, three are the 'kittens'of a little cat( Minnie, sadly run over) who decided this was her new home. Virtually all stray cats round here are black and white so we couldn't give them away - just had to keep them, didn't we? They are Buster,Boots and Smudge. We also have our black cat, Ebony, who turned up at my husband's depot and Charlie who turned up in the street one day. Ive lost count of how many strays we've taken in over the years. Most just turn up in the garden, neighbours joked tgat they left chalk marks on the gate like tramps used to do " You'll be ok here"
