I will never, ever relinquish my slow cooker / pressure cooker although I have replaced them with a super dooper two in one that saves space and is much easier to use than my old hob top pressure cooker.
I was never tempted by the halogen oven although so many raved about them and I'm not interested in the air fryer.

//NJ, it fries chips, chicken etc with the aid of a small amount of oil.//
I'll not labour the point, danny, but you cannot fry food in air. That process is called roasting. What an "air fryer" does is effectively roasts food that is coated with oil. I hate to see people misled by incorrect use of words which are concocted by some smart Alec salesman. I'm sure they are perfectly efficient and useful devices but just tell it like it is.

I agree, NJ. For years my home made 'chips' have been chipped potatoes brushed with very little oil and put in the oven at a very high temperature. Very nice they are, too, but they are not chips which need to be totally immersed in some form of fat and fried.
I would much prefer to eat deep fried chips but my weight and arteries must take priority over my taste buds.
