i really feel for all the bars and cafes this year as xmas is their main money making time and in tier 3 there shut even in tier 2 the pubs and bars can only serve with a meal, so many are closing for good;
and the problem is if some are going into 2 from 3 then they will have to rush to get all the products for the restaurants and cafes to do xmas lunches etc same for the bars hoping to order in beers etc as you cant store it for months, last lock down millions of gallons were disposed of.
what a mess of a year for all little businesses who's owners have been the backbone of our towns and villagers, maybe next year too,

You pay £62.50 for a cigarette?
anyone who still smokes is mad. At more than 10 quid a packet thats daylight robbery. My brother after an absence of some years went back to smoking, not good.
Even a pint of something very special costs around £4.50 and I am talking imperial IPA or stout round here, less in the black country.

However my favourite hairdresser used to cost about £110 for cut colour and finish as I used one of the artistic directors. Liked my hair really different every visit. Now I really do just use clippers on a very long setting and finish the front with scissors. Giving into the grey was the best thing I ever did.
Very few of the pubs that sell really good beer near me do food, so have not been able to switch to take away. One already did off sales and I think was able to continue but as we are tier three and they are a different council I haven't been to check. I haven't missed it to be honest, just the company to watch sport.
The average pack of the most expensive cigarettes in the UK's big four supermarkets currently costs £12.46, meaning it'll increase to £12.73.

While the average pack of the cheapest 20-pack of fags will rise from roughly £8.82 to £9.10.
I must be mad then. I still smoke but don't pay those prices. I roll my own; I pay £12 for 30g of tobacco which gives me 60 cigarettes, that is £4 for 20.
but many still obviously buy cigs jack.
i don't have many vices to be sure, lol, but a pint on a sunny evening could be classed as one.
our locals have been shut only opened when lockdown eased
no jackdaw 62.5pence each if I bought them but Ive got clients who sell at £40 for 200. Ive tried giving up but alas :(
£68 for a perm and finish is actually not a bad price. In my nearest salon it's £80 - i live in hampshire, not london. Many hairdressers have put their prices up because they can have fewer people in the salon at the same time - for example while your perm or colour is taking, they used to be able to do someone else, but now they can't
you have something to look forward to sometime, i don't smoke nor have i ever.
//Its disgusting how they are forcing pubs out of business on a whim with no proof that they are responsible for the spread of the infection.//
I feel really sorry for the pubs too but your statement is misleading dave, Its not usually the pubs its mainly peopel who dont socially distance, stand at the bar, gather close together, drink too much, sing and shout, queue up for kebabs after without masks . We seen it in Cardiff when pubs reopened. The virus loves it, its obviously going to spread. Cardiff rates shot up again and another lockdown was needed because a few were selfish and spread it to others.
Mamy pubs are not to blame- many have tried there best. But some havent and have allowed peopel to queue at bars, mingle, not collect contact info, no cleaning, no table service so there to blame.
Its common sense which some dont have that makes it obvious drink only pubs are to much of a risk.
thats for a local salon bednobs others are 100 quid or more for same
yep mine's a loLcal salon too.
We charge £70 for perm, cut & blow dry. It takes an hour & stinks us out. Rinsing a perm is 20mins of loboriously painful standing. Will put up the price next week coz I hate the job. We dont get many perms thank god.
i have one because my natural hair is quite thin, the results are always right for me
