Hdmi To Usb

Hi guys. My TV has stopped recognising the usb port. Is there anything on the market that would allow me to plug in my usb stick to a hdmi thingy and then let me plug the hdmi stick into the TV allowing me to watch the music videos I have on my usb stick?

But whether your TV would recognise it is a different question. Could try it and see. No expert but I'd expect HDMI to just be looking for a string of data being fed into it. It'd sincerely doubt it could look for, detect & read a USB video file.

Why not play it on a computer/tablet and then cast it to the TV ?

I will recommend checking the USB on PC, because the fault may be on USB. HDMI will not work at all if there is an issue with the USB port. Also, check there will be other USB ports too on the TV.

You can get dongles that plug into your TV or maybe PC, tablet, phone, that can send whatever is playing on it to the TV. I'm no expert though, just something to investigate.
