Pic below of a white melamine unit on my kitchen worksurface.

No idea where I got it. Probably Ikea or Argos (definitely not John Lewis).

Anyone help identify it? i.e. What would it be called, where would it have come from?

I want to know so I can investigate getting another, bigger, taller, wider version.

Daft not remembering, but there you go!

Allen what size do you want?
...or if you don't know that, what size is the one you have got now so we know your lower parameter?

A bit wider, so that I can put my amp and the set-top box (both picture) inside it, and 'things' on top. We live in an absurdly small London flat, and are always madly looking for ways of improving our storage.

I think I DID ask in my original question that I was asking very specifically what it was likely to have been called and also where it probably originated. But as Buenchico says, with a sigh, people don't often read the questions!

Thanks for those of you who've tried to help, though.

A
its called a printer stand and how wide is a bit wider?
To roy, suffering from his usual sarcasm: that's right, roy, I want to put it in a museum, and need something similar to replace it.

Did anyone read allen's first reply?
I don't think you can beat Ikea for storage, I have a wall full of the Kallax storage in my craft room.
(Sorry - forgot how to link.)
Thank you Mamya :)
Are you looking to sell it on ebay so want some details for the listing.
Look through any catalgue for Dunelm, The Range, Wayfair and you'll see similar.
Am cuirious though as to what the pink tipped item is on the top shelf!
Sorry, missed off IKEA
I've got one of those kallax units in my lounge. They are extra deep and hold loads. I've got about 80% of my books in mine...double depth. Each one can hold 40-70 books depending on size. I've also got storage baskets in the bottom row.
I think Allen is looking for another, slightly larger one. He's not given us the actual dimensions though...I don't think.

Well, it wasn’t a printer stand, woofgang, but one or two of those look promising.

Max width 800mm (the worktop is about 1m).

My recollection is that it came from Argos and was intended to be some sort of dvd/VCR desktop shelving.

But I will look at printer stands!

This is the sort of thing I’d like

https://www.wayfair.co.uk/furniture/pdp/17-stories-maddocks-tv-stand-for-tvs-up-to-55-sbhl1007.html

but it’s too wide.

Hard to get similar that’s 900mm ish wide.

Spot on Zacs. I take back all the insults. That is precisely what I’m looking for.

Many thanks.
Glad to help.
