Tier 4 Car Share Restrictions
77 Answers
Apparently, my home town (Stoke on Trent?) is now in tier 4
and car share restrictions are in place.
If, this is the case,
Then can anyone explain the logic?
Tomorrow I have a lift into work from someone who will be spending the day on a van with me.
Am I safer (or is anyone else safer) if I get the bus alongside a dozen or so others??
and car share restrictions are in place.

I believe Nailit is asking someone to explain the logic to him about some of these these restrictions and he's not the first but the answers from the same people are always the same. Don't ask just do as you're told. Why? Because no-one can give a logical reason.

OK, I'll try again...
I can see the point of NOT car sharing if it was with someone who worked in a different department in the workplace.
But the point I was making is that its senseless to say that I cant vehicle share a lift to work with someone with whom I'm going to be sharing a vehicle whilst AT work.
Which is safer re covid...
1) Limit the amount of people with whom I come into contact with by avoiding public transport and commuting with a guy that Im spending the day with anyway?
2) Wait on a crowded bus station to catch a bus with complete strangers?

This reminds me of someone who argued that because he worked all day with he's workmates in tier 3 he should allso be able to go to the pub with the same peopel at night so pub's should of been left open in tier for men/women like him.
I'll try again. Just sort this out with your employer and workmate. If all are happy then continue. No-one will stop you. If not then find another way to get to work and try to keep a safe as possible getting there

Yes but your saying because you work with him all day you should allso be able to do other things with him.
The only bit a can see where your coming from is that a think your saying people should be able to make there own decisions about risks to themselves. In reality thats happening - no-one is going to arrest you if everyones happy with your arrangment.
