//what mess? there was no "mess" - a simple binary choice was offered and the people gave the answer. You want to ignore the democratic will of the people because you disagree with them?// Now look what you've done Diddly, you've made me and Tora agree on something! The votes were cast and the result, while not what I wanted, was final, and should be honoured. I...

/ You’ve made the same mistake as other sour posters here. I’m not all knowing and never claimed to be.//

god you can say that agspiritain

er there is video of Farage saying a day later - er oh yeah we shouldnt have said that.....

and in the spirit of rewriting history (or say one thing one day and insist you said the opposite the next) .... one wonders if he didnt say it, why he denied it

ho hum New Years day on AB !
It wasn't Jim F's link that I read. My quite was from an article on the right-wing BBC website about a week ago.
Sorry "my quote...."
Diddly, a week is a long time in politics.
Right -wing BBC? Don't make me laugh!
Again Tora? People are going to start talking :-P
Yes that bus statement was very dishonest. It took no account of the rebate as I recall, nor of course the fact that there was as much chance of the money going to the NHS as there was of it being sent as a gift to me :-)
This is what happens in referendums tho: both sides make dubious claims.
Even Nigel Farage rubbished that particular one I think.
Given that it was probably Dominic Cummings who more or less singlehandedly won it for Leave as an an individual largely anonymous to the public and given that he’s now a hate figure to many, I wonder what would happen now :-)
Jackdaw - the BBC is pro-establishment ergo right wing.
Diddly, it has well been known that Auntie beeb is left wing.
The fact that supporters of both left and right think the Beeb is biased against them tells you that they are fairly neutral. Both sides have an attitude of "if you're not with us you're against us".
Mozz, the BBC always favours the left, especially where the present government is concerned.
'Mr Johnson has wasted no time following the end of the transition period to appease fishermen who had expressed fears over what the conceded to the EU in negotiations.

On Thursday - just hours before the UK's full departure from the EU - UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) confirmed EU and English vessels would not be able to take part in pulse fishing.

The Government department wrote: "With effect from 23:00 tonight, pulse trawling by EU and English vessels in UK waters will no longer be licensed."

David Jones, deputy chairman of the Conservative-led and Brexit-focused European Research Group (ERG), hailed the move from DEFRA.'
What is pulse fishing and why is this a good move?
Re the BBC, there was all that fuss over Alison Fuller Pedley, Question Time’s audience Secretary, who was suspected of being a Britain First sympathiser.
The BBC isn’t “left wing” but generally it’s more PC and balanced than the papers most people read.
So it just seems that way
I don't know whether they are right or left wing, but I figure the one thing they ain't is neutral. They have a points of view and push them. Rather unprofessional of them really.
Anyone who seriously thinks the BBC is left wing must be off the scale to the right.

yes diddly it's as bad as someone who claims never to have met a brexit voter, off their rocker!
I do not believe that this decision was in Britain's best interests... but it's over and Brexit is something we will have to live with. At the very least, no-deal has been avoided and that is definitely something to be grateful for.
