What Would Happen If A Dolphin Is Given Psilocybin?

I have seen through a bit of research that psilocybin (Mushrooms) increases brain activity and if given in the right dosage maybe it could do the same for them and unique things could happen..?

I have seen from (fairly quick) research that it does various things none of which are actually increases in brain activity....changes yes but not increases.....and nothing that suggests that the brain activity increase results in any improvement to cognitive function. My view is that giving hallucogenics to any animal is a really nasty form of cruelty.

Why would anyone in their right mind inflict drugs on animals just to see what happens? Perhaps those people are not in their right minds.

I wouldn't want to find out. The only drugs administered to any animal should be for life-saving or pain-relief.

But drugs are often administered to poor, innocent animals in vivi-section labs for allsorts of reasons. Is this any different ??
