I drink a lot of coffee. Would it be cheaper to boil just the amount I need each time, or boil a kettle full and store the surplus in a flask?

I also collect shower water in a bucket and use to flush the loo. As it takes a while for hot water to come through I collect the cold water as well, sometimes for my few plants, or else again for the loo.

If you keep your underwear and socks on in the shower it saves on the laundry costs

Use a stacked steamer when cooking a variety of vegetables so only using one ring on the hob.

I saved a bucketful of water this morning in the shower :D

I use an electric steamer, they are more cost effective than a stove top the same way as an electric kettle - the element is only heating the water, not the pan itself
