I used to play kerbie, a point for hitting the kerb, two for catching the rebound and then you throw from where it was caught. Change sides at half the score needed to win.
I always threw it roundarm and it would often hit the road very close to the kerb before hitting the kerb (so that shouldn't have counted) but it was so fast, no-one ever noticed.
Also used to play one where you draw a circle (about 18ins diameter), place 2 coins in the middle (one from each player, with denomination of coin decided before game commenced), each player stands about 10 yards away (on the opposite side to their own coin, and take it in turns to dislodge their opponents coin from the circle with a tennis ball. The winner pockets the dislodged coin.
We all form a circle and hold hands high in the air. One person dances in and out of the arches until "Tip, tap, tip, tap, on my shoulder, Who will be my partner?" Then two do it , then three do it and so on until one is left and she puts her arm on the wall for everyone to duck under and eventually starts the next round.
