I think Tony V means " cauterise".
You can go to the chemist and ask for a steroid nasal spray but I am not convinced that they make any difference to the size of polyps........and personally, I wouldn't bother.

A unilateral polyp (one side)however needs a more cautious approach and I would suggest that you contact your GP at your leisure,especially if this is the first time that they have bothered you, rather than if it is a recurrence.

A further point. I had one removed when I was 18 and another when I was 19, no sign of any growing again since then. (Nearly 50 years ago).
