my friend only usually gets a few quid an hour about 3 or 4 pounds.
I pay 20 for them to stay over night. 15 if they want to go home, then I pay there taxi. So 20 either way really. But if they stay overnight I don't have to worry about what time I come home.
Sorry. That also depends on the age of the children. My youngest is 8 and my eldest is nearly 15. They don't need that much looking after really. Just monitoring!
Our older children (14+) usually look after the younger ones but on occasions when we've had to farm out babysitting we've paid about 30 per night ( from say 8-12.00 ish) and moer if they stop over.
noxlumos. You are way to generous. Teenagers. Get the house, tv, internet, food and telephone to themself! They are in heaven
last time i babysat it was new years eve and did it for free for some friends who would not of been able to go out otherwise, although when the word got round i was inundated with requests the most being 100
Hello Ummmmm, Call me weird, but I like to pay people what I think they are worth irrespective of age. I have some employees, and although it's not standard or probably very wise business practice, I pay the 16 year olds the same as the 40 year olds, because the job is skilless and they all work really hard. In return they know they are onto a good thing and are very dilligent and loyal, I suppose I just carried this over into babysitting too, because I think it's a hugely responsible job and the kids deserve to be paid well for the responsibility they take on.
