how do you get paint off of a window?

hi, this is a query for my mum. recently somebody opened the paint pot and it spilt onto the glass windows. just wondering if anyone knows how to get rid of this?

you can get a tool for this.

Dont know the proper name for it. Its basically a handle with a razor blade in it.

Sounds like it'd scratch the window but it doesn't, used them myself.

Also maybe try using acetone or nail varnish remover, that might do it?

cuetip is right. A hob scraper, marvellous for all uses, grease/marks off tiles/HOBS/ovens, paint of windows mirrors/glass etc...sticky labels of jars/glass/mirrors, the list is endless, and as cuetip says, it does not scratch or mark the surface...

We have a georgian door (sitting room) 15 glass panels, and when we decorated, unlike my hubby - I'm not good at cutting in - so the scraper was invaluable to getting the line of paint in each panel (separated by wood)...

According to Kim and Aggie, WD40 forks very well for this. Spray some onto the paint, leave for a while, then scrape off
use acid it's does not effect the glass and will corode the paint
