Inefficient Toasting.
46 Answers
I have a 2-slice toaster but usually only toast one slice - egg on toast for breakfast or cheese on toast for a snack. So half the electricity used to toast my single slice is wasted! The only single slice toaster I have found is the Russell Hobbs 24200 at £39 (quite expensive).
Why can't the makers simply put a switch on a 2 slice toaster to select one or both slots? Maybe someone does - anyone know?

That fancy pants toaster still can't toast one slice without heating up the empty slot :)
I've got a Sage product - I bought it for less than half price in an Amazon Black Friday deal, very pleased with it I am, too.
