For anyone wanting an update, for the second time in a week, he took a walk out from under the sofa when I was nearby.. He disappeared behind a large chair...absolutely silent. Then I caught him out of the corner of my eye, peering at me as he came back from behind the chair about 8 minutes later.
Shortly before that, he took chicken from my fingers, and he could see me...not just my hand. He'll get more tomorrow...maybe I'll be able to stroke his head in a week or two. He wouldn't let me today, so it's hands off for now.
Tiggs...I actually sat there today with my tablet set to camera, but I have up before he reappeared.
I'll get proof one day!
I think the same Chris. I want so badly to give him a cuddle or stroke. One day!
True pixie...I'm naturally impatient, but I'm investing time for his sake.
Awwww, bless him (and you). The reward will be amazing. Ted is now 9 months old and is turning into a lovely boy. I wanted to throttle him at times through his training but it’s all paying off and I’m sure it will do for you.
You are doing well, progress has been made and he will realise that you will not hurt him. Then he will start bossing you around.
Some idiot decided to try and cuddle her new 18 month old kitties.
Cat one was a sweet little boy.
Cat two wasn't sweet and nearly took the idiot's arm off. The not-sweet girl cat inflicted nine bite wounds to the idiot's right hand. Idiot suffered badly when it all got infected.
Wolf, I frequently check the Facebook page for the rescue I got Toby from. The lady posts videos...her out in the wilds of Devon trapping cats at night, transferring them to pens, tempting them with food.
Her arms are frequently scarred from hand to elbow. Not a pretty sight...but the price she pays to rescue strays.
The big boy just appeared and wandered out to his dish in the kitchen. He's certainly getting braver.
I tried getting a picture, but the flash on my phone took too long.
He's tucked away in the corner under the sofa. I had to move it a bit earlier, so he won't be out again. And most likely a few days until I see him again. The trick is seeing him...he's silent. A big boy on tip toes. :)
