EVERYONE should be spared from political propaganda?

And everyone should be educated to the point where they can make their own minds up. Young people get to vote at 18. It is a mistake to give them that privilege, but deny them any knowledge before to decide how to vote.
It would be better to be taught to a proper curriculum where bias and selectivity can be eliminated.

yes sunk I agree give them knowledge of all the political spectrum by all means but if a child has had SNP propaganda shoved down their throats since they started school, how balanced and objective will their political view be at 18?

Absolutely wrong for schools to attempt to sway children of whatever age in any particular political direction - but these are primary school children. They don't need to be taught politics at all. As a parent I would be very unhappy with this.

I don't agree with politics being taught in schools. I'm sure kids hear plenty of one sided information in the home anyway and many end up swaying the same way as their parents. I did.

Being taught by their parents is exactly why children should be informed properly by a teacher to a set standard.
