Taking deep breaths to stop the panic in my head.
I swallow more pills, and breathe through the machine,
I'm blue around the gills, the bluest you have seen.
But do I feel down? Darn right I'm in the gloom,
I've been locked up for days in just my bedroom!
Oh look on the bright side, look for the silver lining.
Then I tell myself to think again and stop this silly wining!
Captain Tom has said tomorrow will be better,
Its like having from him my own personal letter.
The Queen has said that we will meet again,
And I must believe that, though not really knowing when.
Then Evelyn brings me coffee, while I'm lieing in my bed,
And it helps dispel the demons circling in my head.
I'm a lucky man to know the love from family,
Makes me stop and realise its not all about me me me!
Then I stroll over to the ABers, there's always a welcome there,
And join in the lovely nonsense, the folk who I hold dear.
