Dental Charges
11 Answers
Hoping someone can clarify a matter for me. Both my wife and I have fecently had a "check up etc" at our dentist and paid £23.80 under Band A. We were advised that we both need an extraction and the addition of a tooth to our dentures - this is covered under Band B, £65.20. My question is this : will we be expected to pay £65.20 on our next visit or will the £23.80 already paid be subtracted from the £65.20 ?? A bit confusing maybe, but any advice would be appreciated.

Asked for more numbing - got it, and received a teeth cleansing package. mouthwash, toothpaste, etc. And of course the courtesy of the staff is excellent. Worth every penny to me a very nervous person.
I can confirm having had a similar situation recently, I paid the £23.80 for the check up and was then rebooked for the treatment needed. Although that treatment was delayed for some time due to the pandemic, I still only paid the balance between A and B when I did return as it was part of the original visit.
