I am horribly proud of myself tonight. I stirred myself to try enthusiasm and looked up Pru Leith's recipe for beef stroganoff. It involves pouring brandy into the pan and applying a match!! Never done that before. It was huge fun and it worked!!!!!! Lots of prep., but I would have eaten it in a restaurant and said how good it was. New resolution. Try to cook something I've never attempted before, every so often.

My one main meal of the day was a grilled pork loin steak, topped with melted cheese and served with a well-buttered jacket potato. I'm currently munching on a mini smoked bacon and cheese pie and about to brew my umpteenth mug of chai for the day.
