So if they don't have a lockdown in Dubai but are all fine why does the uk need one? It really downs make sense and all the people I know are going to dubai for a beach holiday. It makes no sense.

SUNK YES mainly the hotel bars. You get in trouble if drunk in public though so its best to have small gatherings at house parties etc.

it's tourist season there so people from places like Britain may be behind the current spike in cases.

"If they don't have a lockdown in Dubai but are all fine why does the uk need one?" becomes "If they are all fine in Dubai and don't have a lockdown, why does the UK need one?'

They did have a lockdown which was really strict, you had to receive a text to be allowed out and if caught out without the text you got a hefty fine. They obeyed the rules and no longer need a lockdown.
