Whitney Houston would have done well to listen to how he emoted, then she may not have spent her entire career under the mistaken impression that the more you quiver your lips, the more emotional you appear to be, and the louder you sing, the more soulful you sound.
Both are manifestly untrue, but she had a huge fanbase who either didn't understand the differences, or more likely, didn't care.
