I found a few maggots at the bottom of my bin yesterday, and so bleached it etc. I then later on in the day found a whole batch of them under a dvd case in my living room, I live in a clean house, with food properly stored etc, we clean regularly etc but have no idea where they came form... any ideas?
I felt really sick seeing them, they looked like maggots maybe a bit bigger and def moved!!

I found some recently that sound the same they were in my indoor guinea pig cages and I predicted they were if fact maggots/fly larvae which would make sense as the flys were attracted to the dirty parts of the cages where they breed - not very nice at all. That would be the same for the bin you have but the dvd case that makes no sense at all unless the case has something horrible on it or has been somewhere horrible.

Have you a dog or cat that may have worms or fly larvae on/in it??

I solved my problem by cleaning more often putting fly traps/papers up and anti fly sprays that our animal friendly.

'Ratter' on here is good with pest things maybe he will know.
I found white maggots crawling up the inside of my bin, after cleaning I now spray weekly with a Jeyes Fluid Spray, the smell is not as stromg as the liquid form in the tin containers but it works for me.
