'No asking policy specified' means that the setter who provided the quiz details has not stipulated a policy on asking or clues.

eg

On Monsters,Myths & Legends, it states 'No asking allowed'. Because a policy has been stipulated.

I agree the wording can be misleading but there is definitely no mention on the Sauces quiz sheet re asking.

Nobody should have to, or will, do a google search to find out if a no asking policy applies. If it doesn't state so on the question sheet, there's no problem.
