Just been watching two rabbits nibbling their way round the plants that surround the patio. Not in any hurry and not at all nervous. Cheeky things.

as long as you don't mind, not chewing up precious plants...
i watch the birds and squirrels sometimes in the tree outside the two blocks - its fun, i did see a squirrel climb up the side of our building, no idea how it managed to cling on...

No previous plants. They seem to die almost as soon as I plant them. I like clematis but they don't last long. Plants have to be tough to survive the salt-laden winds.
ok, at least its something for the rabbits to get their teeth into.....
Reminds me of my childhood, as a special treat we would have rabbit stew....tasty. However as I became sophisticated I graduated to jugged hare.

emmie I am surrounded by fields. why do they have to pick on the one bit of semi-cultivated area. they seemed to be mainly going to the wild garlic which is growing up between cracks in paving. makes them tasty.

no hares round here Sqad. You'd starve.
no idea LJ, seems they want company perhaps...
May be it's quite pungent to them lj. Wildlife must sense this covid quietness. I wonder if there's anyone studying the difference it has made to wildlife?
I live by a park and some playing fields. In the summer the birds are up at 4am. So blinking noisy.

Other than that I only see what the cat brings in. Usually live mice.

I don't know Eleanor. I have certainly not seen more in the garden than usual. They all seem to be thriving but not excessively so.
We’ve seen a lot more foxes whilst we’ve been out and about on our strolls. All within 5 minutes of the house. Seen an increase in birds of prey too, just from sitting on my sofa.
Question Author
We seem to have even more rooks than usual but that is about all. Badgers and foxes in usual amounts.
do you live on a farm LJ..
going on your other post about the vet visiting..
Question Author
Yes. cottage is in middle of farm. come off lane and then up cart track past milking parlour and then farm yard, more track and then cottage.

does that help emmie?

I can self isolate so easily.
did you find out what the vet visit was about..
can see why you are so isolated..
Question Author
Not yet. See other thread. Farmers are not having an easy time at the moment so hope it's nothing serious.
