Crumbling Tarmac

Hi DiY Abers out there. Our front driveway is shared with our neighbours, but part of his (we don't talk to them if we can help it!) is crumbling and all the crumbling bits are dropping down on to our side, and the ensuing shallow "hole" is gradually getting bigger. Is there anything that we can pour in this crumbling gap to stop it crumbling? Other than some liquid tarmac of course! Just wondering if you've got any suggestions. Thanks, cheers, Chox.

There's only one proper solution to crumbling tarmac Chox.
You know what I'm going to say... dig up the drive and lay new tarmac.

There are plenty of other brands. The trouble with "cold lay" though, is that it takes some time to harden. I expect your chap will drive over it and rut it up for a while, so you'll have to put some more in.

Don't bother with concrete slurry. It'll keep breaking up :o(((

Yes, deep down, I knew you were going to tell me that ... but that would cost him and us a lot of money ... we are planning to get our drive down sometime in the future, but not at the moment. But thanks for the link to the Instant Lay - that looks an interesting option if the crumbling gap gets very much worse. Really appreciate your advice and suggestion. Cheers, Chox.
