Distilled White Vinegar

Is that the same as brown vinegar only white.

yes thanks Ubasses - that's what I'm looking for white vinegar - where would I find that in a supermarket, beside cleaning stuff or beside the brown vinegar?

In the Sainsburys I use it is in the vinegar aisle.

There's a difference in how acidic they are also, with distilled being the most acidic. I think distilled can be used both in cooking/pickling and cleaning. It's the cheapest. I got some in Tescos a few weeks ago.

Distilled malt vinegar is made from barley and is also white. I suspect that it's what Jennyjoan is referring to:

...and it's not "white" is it? Milk's white...this vinegar is clear with no colour.

Neither is 'white' coffee nor 'white' skin.

I've never seen a really 'white' potato either!

Got the above and only for Pasta's link would have definitely bought the wrong one. The distilled vinegar was way at the back of the shelf.
