For those not aware - [details from the monthly round-up]
IT'S ON THE BOX - in aid of MAGPAS. 100 clues - all the answers are a TV show (past or present) in a significant order. The Closing date is 16th April and there is a prize of £10. It is a no asking quiz.
I assume the setter has written no asking on the quiz sheet and either Giselda didn't see this or has chosen to ignore it.

Up to the quiz setter surely and up to the entrant whether they wish to abide by the setter's request. If the entrant doesn't then no obligation to enter the quiz. Nothing to stop people posting on Answerbank but some folk prefer not to give an answer if they are aware it's a "no-asking" quiz. I was just pointing out the setter's wishes.
Only Giselda21 will know why she has chosen to ignore the setter's request. I wish her good luck with the quiz

I have never understood the 'no asking' rule on quizzes. Does it mean you can't ask your friends or family, or does it apply only to the internet? If you can't ask, can you Google? Use reference books? .....
It means not asking on sites such as this Barry. I prefer the no asking ones, it keeps my brain active.

How much clearer do we have to be? No asking on the internet please, ...means....NO ASKING ON THE INTERNET PLEASE! Basically, I am asking people to have a go at the quiz, with who ever they wish but not publicly on the internet, spoiling it for so many others who stick to the rules laid down and work out the clues for themselves by any other means but public internet sites. Does that make it clearer?- Google, dictionaries and family research does not count.
I can never understand why people ask for help on the Internet.
Surely the pleasure and satisfaction comes from doing a quiz yourself not for asking help from everyone. Fair enough ask family and Google if you are really stuck but so many give up and ask here before the quiz had been out 5 minutes.
I much prefer no asking quizzes and know it is all my own work.
