Taken this afternoon when it would normally be heaving with shoppers, only M&S and Wilkos trading , multiply this ( Gateshead Metro Centre) by all of them near you and you're left with times gone by , another facet of Covid-19:

I knew I had to test the water Smow , I'm quite a confident person but feared my confidence was taking a tumble and I was 'happy' just staying in, truth is I needed to get back out there again

Bobbi...I've made sure I got out to the shops a bit, as I've been agoraphobic in the past. I realised that staying in, I was feeding the old fears. I HAD to go out, or risk being locked in.
We are mourning the lack of shops, yet there are still those that *are* open, and we should be visiting them if we can.
""Then the Gods of the Market tumbled, and their smooth-tongued wizards withdrew
And the hearts of the meanest were humbled and began to believe it was true
That All is not Gold that Glitters, and Two and Two make Four
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings limped up to explain it once more.""

You've nailed it Pasta, I was getting too 'content' pottering around from being a very social person, I'm pleased I went out for a couple of hours, small steps ?
At least the Mall looks clean and tidy, bobbi. I went to the nearest market town twice this week and it did look sad and forsaken. Rubbish throughout the streets and only supermarkets, bakers and opticians open. Hardly anyone on the streets and the huge car park was virtually empty. Not complaining though ;)
