Statue score in mysogynist Edinburgh ;-)

Apparently in Edinburgh there are 3 statues of animals (Greyfriars Bobby the dog, Wojtek the bear, Bum the dog) but only 2 of women (Queen Victoria, Helen Crummy).

Lots of men of course, 6 on the Royal Mile alone.

Wake up Edinburgh, it's the 21st century.

"Bum the Dog" - is that entirely legal outside Alabama?
I hope it is not just me laughing at "Bum the Dog".
is that a misprint...
I can't believe that some sad 'person' actually wrote an article about this.

I am female, I am Scottish and I have been to Edinburgh more than a few times. I demand a statue of me should be made.

I have never heard of Bum the dog.
so an American pooch...
makes interesting reading.
could they find any women to make statues of, whose past won't upset or offend anyone?
plenty - i have linked to some -
Mary Queen of Scots? I suppose she'd be regarded as a traitor because she spent her last 20 years living abroad.
my link gives enough women who could or should have statues erected
Isabella MacDuff (c. 1286-1313) was the daughter of the Earl of Fife and a member of the MacDuff clan. During the Scottish Wars of Independence, her husband sided with the English. A Scottish patriot, Isabella defied him and used his horsemen to ride to Scone, where she crowned Robert the Bruce king of Scotland. Her defiance cost her four years of her life, which she spent in prison
