6th form? As in high school? And you're still sobbing each time he goes? No idea about anyone ele but by the time my teen had reached that age I was glad to see the back of her each day!
My son starts secondary school today and will be going and coming home without me ,his doting Mummy - i feel at a loss but I am going to the hairdressers and havin my eyebrows and manicure done and rediscovering what ME time is. Best way of geting though the emotion of not being needed or havin a child who is all of a sudden ashamed to be seen with you. Do stuff you couldn't do when your child was around, be a lady that lunches with her mates, shop more, find pamper time, go to the gym, get a dog, join the PTA or whatever they have at your childs school and poke your nose in, become a teaching assistant or a dinner lady and stalk your child, go to the pub, go shopping, shop more often, shop til you drop, shop, shop, shop
belive me i am 13 & when we go to school were happy to get away from paretns!! i wouldnt worry he wil be fine!
Don't worry, you are still young.
