Laying a path/patio

I'am lating a path using patio slabs, on a garden that slopes. iwas wondering if you could tell me what to use to the lay the slabs on and how to do it??

Hmmmmmm, are you attempting to form steps or a sloping patio? I would dig out the soil to a depth of approx 8 inches and fill 6 inches with hardcore. Top with dabs of cement (five per slab, one each corner and one in the middle) and level to whatever you are trying to acheive.
