i have blue eyes is this the reason i sneeze when ever i look at the sun, i know a sneeze is a reflex action but i cant figure out what causes this reflex and what the purpose of the sneeze is for

A "reflex" means that some type of stimulation of your body causes you to react in a way that is NOT under your control, in other words you do it automatically without thinking and you can�t even stop it.

...as for the sunlight thing, it appears that up to 25% of the worlds population sneeze when they look at the sun. And it's not just the sun either, any bright light can trigger the sneeze reflex. I saw a sneeze experiment on TV the other week and one guy did sneeze after having a bright torch waved in his face. It actually is a little more complicated than i can explain so i hope this link puts your mind (and nose) at rest!
