Just wondering why there appears to be a new video for Chasing Cars. Do you think it's because the song is taking off and could be much bigger than they originally expected?
The old video was a bit random, but the new one seems a bit 'simple' in my opinion.
That is all. Your views on the matter are very welcome.

As far as I know, there are two videos for Chasing Cars because the record company thought the original British version (with the close-ups on different parts of Gary's body) was too arty for the US. Though personally, I think the newer one (where he's lying down in the road, at the top of an escalator, and so on) is even weirder!

Thank you Waterwolf, I thought this question was dead and gone!
I totally agree with the idea that the US couldn't handle such a non-generic music video. I certainly prefer the original one, the second version seems too cliched, for want of a better word.
Anyway, thanks for the rely, much appreciated.
