Problems with parsing :- 1) Leaves a tip -- which they all have each in their own way (8) = ICEBERGS. I realise all icebergs have tips, but....? 2) Check on spare glove (8) = GAUNTLET. Why? 3) One prepared for posting to West Country, ultimately amenable (4) = EASY. Why?

Iceberg lettuces have leaves
Iceberg lettuce
gaunt - thin, spare let - hindrance, check
1 double definition lettuce (leaves) & tip of a glacier
isn't one gauntlet thrown down when issuing a challenge.
1 Icebergs - "leaves" (lettuces) & the tips of icebergs
2 Gaunt (spare) let (check; hindrance)
3 Easy - 'SAE' (one prepared for posting, to West; back) + '(countr)y' (ultimately)
1 ICEBERGS - Iceberg lettuces are salad leaves, and all icebergs have a tip
2 GAUNTLET - LET [check, as in hindrance] on GAUNT [spare, as in thin]
3 EASY - S.A.E. [one prepared for posting] (written from east to) west, + {countr}Y
Sae - stamp addressed envelop - reversed & (countr)y
