Can anyone name the type of coat that the little boy wore in the film? It has a particular nickname (fur around the hood) and if you've watched the film, you'll remember him because he lived in it?

Actually looks like a 70's snorkel parker to me (rather than your 60's mod-type parka). These had hoods that could be zipped up right past your chin to form a tube that restricted your viewing angle to about 5%. They also had a little zipped pocket on the left arm that was too small to keep anything in and deep chest level pockets to keep your hands warm. They were good protection from the outside world especially for insecure teenagers like myself. I got detention for wearing mine in school assembly with the hood fully zipped up.

I used to have one when I was younger. You can buy them coats again now from many high street clothes stores. They look a bit better than they used to mind. Hail the Parker!!!
