Wine Bottle With No Screw Top

I bought some wine today, couldn’t get it opened, took away all the wrapping away at the top and there was no screw top, had a taste and was unsure if it was ok to drink.

I once bought some wine from Marks & Spencer to take on a picnic as it was in a plastic bottle - the top was a bit like a ring pull, once opened it had to be consumed (obviously!) but they were in 250ml bottles -just enough for a slurp at lunchtime.

I should really learn to revisit threads after I post on them!

I cannot remember the actual wine but I have a feeling it was a Fiano or an Albarino. In any case the stupid opening put me off buying it again.
