Little Johnny
Johnny: Dad, what is politics
Father: Well Johnny, let me explain it this way. I am the breadwinner of the family, so let’s call me capitalism. Your mother looks after the money, so we’ll call her the Government. We are here to take care of your needs, so we’ll call you the people. Your baby brother we’ll call the future, and that just leaves the nanny, we’ll call her the working class. Now think on that and see if it makes sense.
Johnny goes off to bed and lies thinking about it when suddenly he hears the baby crying. He gets up and goes along to check and finds the baby has soiled his nappy, so he goes along to his parent’s room and finds his mother sound asleep. Not wanting to wake her he goes along to the nanny’s room but the door is locked. He peers through the keyhole and sees his father in bed with the nanny. Not daring to knock, he gives up and goes back to bed.
At breakfast next morning his father asks him if he’s figured it out.
Johnny: Yes, I think so.
Father: OK, then just explain it in your own words.
Johnny: Well, while capitalism is screwing the working classes, the government is sound asleep, the people are being ignored and the future is in deep poo.
