Do people have a user name on Facebook or do you use your real name, is that part of being on Facebook, so people know who you are and can contact you?
I have no idea how it works but we’ve just been talking about it. Other half is considering joining a Facebook group connected to a hobby of his so we’d both like to know a bit more.

I use FB for my friends home and abroad,for private groups and our residence page and I use my own name

I use my own name and am a member of quite a few groups, mostly dog show oriented but also some local community groups. I am also the admin of a few of them. It can become very addictive - but you can use it as much or as little as you want. I've got two facebook friends who I knew from here first and have met both frequently at dog shows and also met another ABer at Crufts.

Since posting the above I realised that I hadn't seen anything posted on here for a long time by the third person mentioned - FredPuli43 hasn't been on here since 2014 unless using a different name.

I use a pseudonym. Im only on fb to join several hobby groups. I dont have anyone on my fb page that I know in real life. I figure anyone that I want to be in contact with has my mobile number / email etc
