Cause Of Death Covid Not Necessarily
49 Answers
My husband who some of you knew as The Mexican, lost his fight with Heart Failure in the early hours of St Patricks Day. The Doctors want to put cause of death as COVID! Having been admitted with heart failure 3 times this year, it was only this last time, he was admitted as positive. I am trying to have the cause as Heart Failure with COVID contributing. I don't want my husband to be just a statistic .

My darling husband suffered with his Heart Failure and covid only played a very small contribution towards his death. Sometimes it's worth trying to change things, especially those that feel right to change.

Indeed - your post was not up when I wrote my response, but I am pleased you have managed to have your wish granted re the COD on the Certificate.
All good things are worth fighting for, but the level of fight you put in has to depend on what result you want, and how likely you are to get it - and in this instance, that has worked well.
Again, my sympathies for your loss.
