Wonder What It Could Be?
3 Answers
My DIL's Father, is still having problems after contracting Covid 19 a couple of months ago. It effected his lungs quite badly. He is doing better, but has been told he has a shadow on his heart. He was on warfarin for a while, as hospital thought he might have a little clot on his heart. Now they don't think it is. He has to see heart specialist later this month. He is 60 yrs old and was quite generally fit. We're all just wondering what the shadiw could be. Sqad?

If we take that statement as gospel, then that could only mean a pericarditis ( fluid around the heart) which could be a result of Covid......but unlikely.
A more likely scenario is that of a shadow NEAR the heart and that is the most likely state of affairs, in which case we are thinking of a Aneurism or enlarged lymph gland which would bring lung cancer into the picture.
From what you have described it makes a clot unlikely.
He will need further investigation of MRIscan of his lungs and almost certainly camera insertion (bronchoscopy )
