There's only really one pro- independence party, and only really three anti- independence parties splitting that vote three ways. The pro- independence party lavishes the populace with gifts it can't afford, an out-and-out bribe, because once independence is achieved that party's work is done and it can leave others to deal with paying off the debt it's...

"The Remoaners said that Brexit would result in the break up of the Union and a return to violence in Northern Ireland. Would you still say they were wrong?"
Of course they are wrong. Nothing has changed as far as that goes. The SNP have always pushed for independence & austerity for Scotland for it's foreseeable future. EU intransigence over it's border causes a potential breakdown in peace (despite the EU having the %%&€£%= cheek to claim it protects peace) just as Brexiteers claimed would happen if the EU didn't relent and stop using NI as a political football. Neither has anything to do with us leaving a corrupt and vindictive federal block ruled over by an unaccountable elite.

Indy2 is a direct result of the Brexit Referendum result.
Scotland voted against leaving the EU but had to leave with the UK. Not only did that give the SNP a reason for another Independence vote, it makes a successful leave the UK result far more probable.
The riots in Northern Ireland are against the NI protocol agreed by Johnson and the EU, without any input from the people of NI. Loyalists are unhappy with the protocol, which is why they have mobilised the youths to attack the police.
Both are a consequence of Brexit.

sunk, Scotland voted to remain in the UK in 2014, that means they wanted to be part of the UK going forward. The UK as a whole voted to leave the EUSSR and Scotland agreed with that by agreeing that they want to remain in the UK in 2014. The referendum in 2016 was a UK wide vote, you cannot just pick random areas and say they did not agree with the overall result, if we did that London could argue for "independence" or the local high st for that matter. It is nonsensical to expect that the the result in any conveniently defined area of the UK is in any way relevant.
Yes joined but not seamlessly :-)
I certainly don't argue that Scotland and N Ireland should be exempt from the result (although as we are seeing the situation with N Ireland is very problematic), however the "union" was split on this and in my view should have meant we did not leave at all. But that ship sailed long ago.

Indy2 is just using Brexit as an excuse. Brexit didn't cause Indy2 demands. If Brexit hadn't happened it's clear they'd find some other reason for it.
Neither did Brexit cause EU intransigence. Again it's those not mature enough to accept responsibility for the consequences of their demands trying to push blame onto something else. The agreement was the best that could be achieved given the EU stance, and the protocol can be changed by NI should they wish anyway.
