Who needs to know their post is the ‘best answer’?
I just answer questions as and when I can or choose to, I don’t care whether they’re best answer or not.
I don’t think I’ve ever awarded anyone a ‘best answer’ but I could be wrong. I just thank the people who’ve been kind enough to answer.
It doesn’t give me the creeps, but I get what Sqad is saying.

One thing which doesn't seem to have been mentioned yet is the fact that the BA appears in a panel at the top of the thread - this can be very useful to other people with the same problem who don't want to trawl through possibly pages of responses.

I think the BA option should be removed from chatterbank as it is just gibberish - someone looking for a real answer to a question is much better and worthy of best answers if it helps the OP
