As I have mentioned before I love this product. Placed an order for four jars the other day. It arrived today. Very scruffy parcel, enormous plastic bag bearing no relation to the company. Inside was a cardboard box. When I opened it three of the jars didn't have their tops on. Just resting loosely on the jar. Also two were upside down. There was a good deal of the product slopping about. I cleaned it all up then I had second thoughts about it.
I rang the company as I was worried whether it was safe to eat.
The person I spoke to was horrified. On no account to eat it. He would get his boss to phone me (nothing as yet) and they would arrange a fresh delivery. Such a shame really.

A good response from them at least, I wonder if they have out sourced their packing department?
Question Author
Yes Mamya, he mentioned that the packing was not connected to the company.

Brilliant link Mamya, I was just looking up a recipe I have, you beat me to it a superb usual!!
Bacon jam .. never heard of it. Just had a look at a recipe and it sounds 'different', almost like chutney, may have a go at making it.
For the moment I think I will stick with the one I made yesterday from frozen fruit.. Strawberry and Raspberry jam 1kg of each and 1 kg of sugar.
Just about to run out of Chilli Jam, so that is another project for later in the week, so simple and it goes with anything !

Just printed out the recipe for your Bacon Jam.
Just looked at Mamya's link .. how good does that look ?
Bookmarked.. Ta !!
Just found a recipe to make it in the slow cooker. might give it a go sometime.
Bought a jar of this from Waitrose a few years ago....the only time I've felt sick while eating something. If I think about it even now, I feel queasy. Don't think it was that popular...they didn't stock it for very long!
Question Author
I have bought it from sainsburys before now.
Imagine it on a nice burger from the BBQ.. I must make some bacon jam, now I have seen this..

I wonder had it either been damaged or messed with in transit Caran?
That recipe looks like something is love to eat, though the rest here wouldn't & it would be wasted.
