I must say I'm rather surprised that the BBC hasn't taken the first series of Blackadder off iPlayer, given that throughout the series Edmund is referred to as 'Duke of Edinburgh', and he dies in the last episode.

the whole damn series is available on beeb internet
The Duke himself probably loved it :0)
The title of Duke of Edinburgh now passes to Prince Charles, to add to his dukedoms of Cornwall and Rothesay.
Sure I’ve read somewhere it transfers to Edward JD?
^
I've read the Queen is considering handing the title to Edward, the only son of the Queen without a Dukedom?
Crikey! Over-sensitive or what?!!!
Just a tad.
^^
And i've just re-read that Charles does inherit the title but that it will pass to Edward once Charles gets his promotion.
It will have to be passed to Charles before he becomes king otherwise the title expires and will have to be recreated
What that means in practice I’ve no idea.
I can’t see that Blackadder would be removed from iPlayer because of that
Passed “from” Charles of course sorry
As the "Duke of Edinburgh" is a position, and not a particular person, I can't see anyone would be bothered by it.
When the Queen dies, the Dukedom reverts to the Crown (as Charles will then be the Monarch) and then it is expected to be given to Prince Edward.
The death of the queen has no bearing on it I think. Charles is now Duke of Edinburgh and as stated previously when he dies the title ceases to exist unless Edward is already Duke
Such are the Byzantine ways of that sort of thing
If Edmund worries you Etch I'd keep an eye on Sir Osmond Darling-Blackadder, he's a shifty one.
Pah!
I apologise to Corby I misunderstood him (no excuse)
It’s more a matter if when she dies tho.
I don’t know what happens if you have to recreate the title: do you bake it in an oven? Have a special ceremony? Or just carry on as normal?
Dukedoms are grown in secret orchards .

I thought everyone knew that
