Just been to the hairdressers, for my first cut since December she has a writing pad where you put your name ,phone number and postcode in case of problems at this time. I duly wrote in the book, looked at it again later and realised I had written my maiden name instead of married name ....I have been married 14 years, do you think I should be worried ?

Not to worry, I've done this a couple of times and we've been married over 30 years.

This is a serious question shoota, your answer does not make me feel at ease
Sorry Cat, I was being flip. I checked to see that you had posted in Chatterbank...
I think that such things happen to people of a certain age. I am impressed you could remember your phone number and postcode :-)
I think you should only worry if such slips become frequent.
No I wouldn't worry, happens to everyone at times.
I once wrote down my childhood landline number instead of my mobile! Unless it is something that happens to you often, I wouldn't give it any more thought.
Not long ago, I had to send something to an address in Birmingham I know off by heart. It was late arriving so the sorting office was contacted and the package was traced.

For some reason I had used the postcode B1 2JP and apart from the "B", it is nothing like the correct one.

That postcode was the one for the old ATV studios from decades ago and they used to read it out all the time. God knows why that was on my mind.

I had
"you have written to days date as your date of birth"
( or the other way round, it didnt really score with me)
I sent my lifelong friend a birthday card beginning of April.
She rang (I thought to thank me) and asked why I had addressed it with her maiden name.
Why the heck I went back 50 years I'll never know.
So not just you.
