Does Monica from 'Friends' have easiest chef job in the world?

Not so much a question, more of a rant really, and any of you folk who do work, or have worked in the hotel/ca tering industry will agree.
Monica from 'Friends' has a job as a head chef in some top new york restaurant. Yet she never seems to work evenings, or public holidays.........ever.
In fact i reckon she must only work an 8 hour week.
Back in my day working in that trade, it was split shifts, 5 evenings per week, weekends, public holidays. Minimum 50 hrs per week.

It also amused me that Ross & Rachel's baby conveniently disappeared for vast amounts of time towards the end.
Yes it's just a sitcom but that shouldn't mean anything goes - you have to have some logic even to made-up stuff.
