Has anybody got an old favourite piece of clothing that is still worn regulary after many years and still loved.

I have a denim jacket I Have had for about 20 years. I love it, No signs of wear, and it goes with everthing.

I would admit to being a very casual dresser!!

Yes I have several coats that I've had for over 20 yrs that I still wear. I'm very reluctant to get rid of coats. I even have one that doesn't fit me, but I'm still hoping that one day it will.
I have a coat from M&S bought over 20 years ago, when M&S were synonymous with good quality. It was not massively expensive, but is 100% waterproof and has a warm lining and a detachable hood. It is also washable. I wear it regularly in the Autumn, Winter and Spring. Maybe not quite as smart as it once was but definitely my favourite.

I must admit I have a cupboard full of coats too. Probably though will never wear most of them any more!
About 25 years ago, my mother helped out in a charity shop.
I needed a good dinner jacket for "black tie" gigs etc. She had the very thing. It was obviously an expensive item, and fitted perfectly.
Quality item - £5.

Before I could leave, she insisted that I had her staff discount off the fiver.
Aren't mothers wonderful?
The jacket is in the wardrobe right now.
I've got quite a few items that I still love and wear. My favourites are a rhinestone decorated waistcoat and a pair of shoes. Both are probably 30 years old.
Got to admit to living by the rule of if I haven’t worn it for 6 months then I probably won’t so it goes in the Charity bag, coats are different though
Although it’s going to handy now, my ‘vandal of a grandson’ the digger ;0) has just took a Saturday job in a charity shop which will go on his CV for him when he goes to university, now he can take my unwanted gear with him
A very old (so old I can't remember when I bought it) black Barbour jacket that no longer has any wax.

Bobbi. If I gave away my clothes I haven't worn for six months I would give away everything except slopping around clothes and just a few other things!! I have hardly been anywhere!! ;O)

My denim jacket will never go.

I have got me auld Dad's coat he walked back from Poland in , in 1945. Aquascutum. He said his demob suit lasted ten years
I have a lovely tweed jacket. I'm trying to work out how old it is. It was given to me (2nd hand) when I was about 36. It has to be over 40 years old. I've had it dry-cleaned a couple of times and it looks like new. (I must admit that I don't fasten it anymore, but it looks good.)

Is this a way of saying, Apc is a beach lover....? Plenty down here, you know...... https://i2-prod.devonlive.com/news/devon-news/article810962.ece/ALTERNATES/s615b/1_Nudists.jpg
I still use my late husbands blue bathrobe every day, it has to be 40 years old.
I also have a cardigan of my mother's. Very plain, black, button up to the neck. M&S. When she wore it she would say, " its fully fashioned you know" with that funny expression on her face. I bought it for her about 35 years ago. Still good as new!

DT ha, ha. Actually I love beaches best in the winter. We are only 20 minutes from a beach with a renowned naturalist area in North Norfok. Certainly not my casual style!!! (Especially in the colder months!!
