Whiplash

How long does it last roughly?
I’m taking Ibuprofen (400mg) every 6 hours and Co-codamol every 4.
I cannot get comfortable and as a result I’m irritable.

I have been involved in accident in February and no, not me am enquiring re whiplash but the other guy who crashed into me.
Police have told me -in an accident if the victim hasn't been taken away in the ambulance- there is no case. So hope that helps.

No, it wasn’t an accident. Husband had to brake very suddenly yesterday on a roundabout and I’d began to move in my seat and the belt did it’s job but I had a sore neck from the jolt. But all of today I’ve had pain down my left side of neck, shoulder, hurts to move and sore head. Just very very uncomfortable.
Don't expect any sudden improvement. (Sorry!)

Thank you Chris, to be fair I’m used to pain so it’s just another thing to add to my list of getting used to.
Thank you Toorak and Sam.
Jenny - there was no ambulance needed. I am sorry to hear of your incident though. But reading information it can occur well after the time it happened.
Thank you Mamya, Husband slammed the brakes on and I moved forward in my seat and head butted the sun visor so it was a hard brake from the car. My pain is about a 6.5-7. I’ll definitely try that though. Something has to give xx

Whilst parked at the side of the road, someone ran into the back of my car without braking whilst doing about 30mph. I thought I was okay and was more concerned over the two people in the other car as they were both in their eighties and in a bit of a state. After a few days I started to get a stiff neck which was eventually diagnosed as a whiplash injury. It was around a year before I was totally pain free.
In the end it seemed to improve only after I really concentrated on improving my posture.
