Did anyone else watch this on the red button last night?A shame the crucible was empty.A very enjoyable final without the talk of gamesmanship etc.At the end it was David Lilley who ran out the winner he had been a part time player until two years ago when he decided to give full time snooker a try.Also well done to Jimmy White who made a really good attempt to defend his title and how gracious in defeat.Well done to all.

Apology accepted. If you're interested in the play more than the results it's worth you going to IPlayer for the early rounds with all the old players. You'll see Dennis Taylor's last ever competitive match and an interesting situation where one of the balls made a strange detour and the table had to be repaired; the game being replayed.
