I used to like him, but find he's not my 'cup of tea' anymore.

You would have to bring your own if you were to come here, never touch the stuff.
It's been so damn long since I offered anybody a drink of any sort...so generally it's "would you like a drink" unless I know what they have.
Ex used to ask if I was making tea...then say he'd have one too please...
Barsel how very dare you :-)

I meant that we do not refer to the receptical (cup /mug) when asing if someone wants tea or coffee but always say 'glass' of wine lol!

Maybe bottle might be more accurate 'hic!'
I'll normally say "would you like tea or coffee, or something stronger?". The latter part normally only later in the day, mind.
How's this

You can put any liquid in a cup, but only tea can be a cuppa.
I just do it - when you live on your own there's no one to say it to.
I've used both terms in the past.
